Emma Watson proved that she’s truly an icon for people all over the world when she delivered an inspiring speech on the topic of Feminism at the UN Headquarters in New York. In her speech, Emma stated that there’s a dire need for more feminists in the society and that men should advocate gender equality. Good going lady! The best point Emma made was that the perception of feminists being “too strong, too aggressive, anti-men, unattractive” is completely unnecessary and besides the point. She also said that her decision to be a feminist is ‘uncomplicated‘. We really need more women like her!
Emma launched her #HeForShe campaign at the UN headquarters and she’s tweeted instructions for people who are interested in becoming a part of her campaign.
