I think King Julian and Madagascar have changed the way we see Lemurs (and most other animals) FOREVER. I went to Sydney’s famous zoo (apparently the third best in the world) today and was constantly reminded of the film! LOL. Anyway, it’s almost bedtime and I gotta be FRESH for the Queensland epicness that starts tomorrow, so here’s a quick photo blog about our day at the zoo 🙂 xoxo
PS Remember what I said about fun posing? This was one of those times 😛
(By the way, it works out cheaper if you just buy a combo ferry + zoo ticket at the wharf.)
And then FINALLY we saw a Koala Bear! Doesn’t he look like our diving buddy Kiki?
FYI, I’m still on the hunt to find you a stuffed Koala to win but this one was a tad too tall…
Once we got back to the city we wandered down narrow Abercrombie lane for some delicious cocktails at a prohibition-style speak easy called Palmer & Co.
We even spotted a bride under a cool bird-cage installation!
And ran into one of the 125 painted Rhinos scattered around the city to raise awareness about these sadly, fast disappearing creatures. I think this one looks rather fetching in my pink hat, don’t you? 🙂
PS. I watched this adorable documentary on my flight over about unlikely animal couples that are totally bizarre and terribly cute. rhino’s apparently get stressed out when lonely and that stress can actually kill them 🙁 luckily sheep make good BFFs for baby rhinos. *Awww*
Right then folks, its bedtime for Bonzo. See you in Queensland. Yay! Follow the fun #thisisqueensland #DesiGirlTraveler #Room753
