Yes, it’s finally happening. There have been talks for many months now that Kajol is doing a film with her husband, Ajay Devgn‘s, production house. Now, however, the actress has finally given the project the go-ahead, and if everything goes according to plan, then they should go on floors by the end of this year – it seems that they are aiming for some time in November as of now, with a 2015 release date. Of course, since it’s still a little while away, they are remaining mostly mum about the subject, although Kajol did reveal that she is expecting it to be both serious and entertaining.
It looks like, at this time, they have not zeroed in on a lead actor, although we do have to wonder whether she will end up making her comeback with Ajay. Either way, we’re just happy that we’ll be seeing her on the big screen again – it’ll be five whole years, since her last set of films were in 2010: My Name Is Khan, We Are Family and Toonpur Ka Superhero.
Hopefully, after this one, there will be lots more forthcoming from her. She expects that, with changing times, the longevity of an actress’ career will increase since “this is the time for new age cinema.” The actress also said that she pays a lot of attention to a film’s script and it needs to be “fabulous” – she won’t do women-oriented films just for the sake of it, because, “everyone contributes for the film and not just one person.”
