While some of our Bollywood boys always make it to the top of the fashion charts with their sartorial choices – Rahul Khanna, Imran Khan are almost always clear winners – here’s our list of of a few hunks who need to overhaul their wardrobe in 2014.
The reason: Either their style is too predictable or they are just too laid back to style themselves appropriately when they step out in public.
We insist that it’s not a designer label that makes a man but that whatever he chooses to wear should compliment him to a T.
So without much further ado, take a look at these hotties we would love to see in more fashionable avatars…
JOHN ABRAHAM
He’s without doubt one of Bollywood’s dishiest men but as far as experimenting with his style is concerned, John Abraham rarely looks beyond his uber casual wardrobe. He’s most often seen in tee shirts, jeans, shirts, combat pants and flip-flops.
Just recently, he was spotted at the airport in a baseball cap, sweatshirt and three-quarter pants with flip-flops on his feet.
In an interview with Team MissMalini in November 2013, John said, “Someone asked me yesterday, ‘why do you wear chappals?’ I say, even this shirt must have been repeated in some other press conference, or maybe these pants.
I’m sure on MissMalini, you look at all these faux pas. But in my case, it’s not a faux pas, because I dress very basically. I don’t really have too many clothes, and I have no shame in saying it.”
This year, we think John should go out on a limb and invest in some nice linen suits and pastel hued shirts. Colours like pistachio, baby pink and lemon yellow would look awesome on John and we’d love to see him wearing more of these colours this year.
PRATEIK BABBAR
With a body to die for and a smile that would melt any heart, Prateik Babbar unfortunately falters terribly when it comes to fashion.
We understand that he might want to show off his hot bod with some mighty risque tops but somehow, the garments don’t do him (or his worked-out body) any justice.
This year, we’d like to see Prateik invest in some snazzy sportswear and ditch those distressed jeans. Don’t you agree?
NEIL NITIN MUKESH
Neil Nitin Mukesh is a very handsome boy and has the looks and the physique to carry off almost anything with elan. But with the lack of a proper stylist, Neil has made some pretty regrettable fashion faux-pas in the past.
Cleavage-baring t-shirts and jeans belted too tight are big no-nos and in 2014, we hope Neil with invest in a high-end stylist to design a look for him that brings out his best features.
SALMAN KHAN
Ninety percent of the time, Salman Khan is seen sporting his Being Human label. Right from the belt around his waist to his t-shirts and jeans, Salman’s Being Human signature look has us yawning out loud. There’s nothing fresh about his style and he needs a wardrobe overhaul, pronto!
We think Salman looks fab when he’s all suited and booted and we look forward to seeing him dress more dandy this year.
SHAHID KAPOOR
While he might arguably have a great head of hair, Shahid Kapoor‘s wardrobe is very play-safe and jaded.
Simple shirts, jeans, tees and singlets are his wardrobe staples – all of which he must ditch in 2014.
And yes, unless he needs to keep it on for a film role, Shahid definitely needs to invest in a razor and shave more regularly. It’s a sin to hide those gorgeous dimples behind all that unnecessary fuzz. Agree?
