Last thursday, MissMalini hung out with designer Junelia Aguiar at her tres chic Pret Fête exhibition at Olive TGIT Pop. Guests and shoppers were not only treated to the designer’s new collection but to a very well deserved afternoon of pampering! Here’s what we loved at the event.

Spread across lush satins and some beautiful textures, the collection was evening wear heavy but with tailored separates. A hot favourite was a red textured halter and pencil skirt set. Actress Amyra Dastur rocked the look and posed for a few pictures with Junelia, herself.  But a pair of printed palazzos was a piece that had women fighting over. Lucky for all, Junelia had a solution; “Girls let me take down your measurements and tailor it for you” Win!

While everyone kept trying on garments and sipping on their sangria, there was a point where guests came in numbers. The afternoon got chirpy and shoppers got into the groove. A few known faces through the evening were, Diana Penty, Mandira Bedi, Adhuna Akhtar, Maria Goretti and husband Arshad Warsi, Amyra Dastur and the fabulous Nonita Kalra. The one overheard phrase that was constant through the day was, “Are you done? Can I try it…now?!!”

Tucked in a cozy corner sat holistic healer Larra Shah reading auras and gave guests a cosmic reason to smile. And if that wasn’t enough, they could find relaxation in a foot massage, all thanks to the hands at Aroma Thai Spa. After all the fashion fawning and shopping, a foot spa and having your cosmic question answered, is all one needs to soothe the soul.

The day saw Junelia’s friends and supporters stepping in. With their sangrias and sexy dresses, guests laughed and played dress up. And to make things memorable, Junelia helped shoppers find that perfect dress for them and even managed to personalize a few pieces. All in all, it was a happy day for both, the designer and her shoppers.

The event went on till everyone got what they wanted. At the end of it, we saw Junelia sitting with her hubby Ash Chandler, all smiles and eating a good meal. And to round up, the nught turned into a fun party with Butter nights at Olive. All in all, it was a great event and was packed with everything a girl wants to do in one afternoon.
