The prospect of watching two highly anticipated shows – Huemn and DRVV – was enough for most fashion watchers to get out of bed early this Sunday morning. Indian fashion and minimalism are often considered to be unlikely bedfellows, but Dhruv Kapur‘s label DRVV is slowly but surely changing that!
The show began with dramatic somber music and low lighting, with models walking eerily slow, almost zombie like. The black and midnight blue collection, entitled ‘Half Alive’, was a clever take on shapes and gender-blurring. Zips and buttons played an integral part in his collection, and were often used to switch up the silhouette. The piece de resistance was this unique half shirt/half collar ensemble.
Clearly Dhruv Kapoor is a designer to look out for! Here’s some more pix from the show:
