You’ve been asking for a while now so I figured it was time to spill the beans! Deepika Padukone and Sidhartha Mallya had one of the most mysterious break ups yet… In fact their whole relationship was a bit of a mystery if you ask me 🙂
While Dippy and Sid Mallya’s split had several conspiracy theories doing the rounds here’s what really happened:
My source confirms that Deepika was in fact contractually obligated to spend time with Siddharth via a pre-determined number of public appearances and photo opps. They were always “good friends”, but never really in a relationship. In fact the break up was entirely mutual, despite attempts to make it look like there was some kind of “drama” involved.
Deepika was also recruited to help add more star power to Mallya’s cricket team during the IPL and was something of a brand ambassador for the company. During this time (behind closed doors) Dippy and Sid would often laugh amongst themselves at the stories that came up in the media speculating whether or not they were “in love.”
In fact DP was also in touch with Ranbir Kapoor during this time he was completely aware of the deal. I’m told Deepika agreed knowing that it was basically a series of endorsements with an expiry date and an obvious way out.
I’m told Sid in fact has someone special back home in London and this whole hook up was just a brilliant PR exercise! Plus I mean they’re both cute so super win-win all around no? #JustSaying
