Preity Zinta sure must be one happy woman: her comeback film, Ishkq in Paris, has finally gotten a release date! The movie was majorly delayed, partly because her director Prem Soni was battling cancer, and partly because she couldn’t find a buyer at all. Recently, though, she stepped out for a press conference where she released the new trailer of the film and announced the release date – May 24th! Take a look.
Fortunately, Prem Soni seems to have fully recovered. The director only has good things to say about Preity, claiming that she stood with him throughout and dealt with losses resulting from the delay, just because she believed she should release the film once he was fine. According to Prem, they could have released the film earlier, but he was going through a very bad phase in his life, and Preity insisted that it wasn’t the right time to do so.
Also at the press conference were Sophie Choudry and Rhehan Malliek. Sophie sings the French parts of the song you hear in the trailer, while Rhehan is the male lead opposite Preity.
So now according to Prem, the bad times are over – he says Ishkq in Paris has turned out to be a beautiful film, and he’s looking forward to some good work again.
