John Abraham is one busy man as of late. Not only has he been practically everywhere promoting I Me Aur Main, which released today, but he’s also been busy with Madras Cafe. That’s a big one because it’s his home production, and his first film with Shoojit Sircar post the success of Vicky Donor. Yesterday, too, John was out-and-about launching the new issue of Starweek, which he is on the cover of. While there, he spoke about Madras Cafe, and believe it or not, he referred to it as “India’s Argo!”
Fairly lofty claims, don’t you think, considering that it just walked away with the Oscar for best picture? Still, John seems confident about it – he said the team saw the rushes of the film two days ago and were so impressed by it that they compared it to Argo. John believes it’s the kind of film that can be showed internationally and therefore he’s planning on a wide release for the film across North America and Europe.
