2012 has been a great year for our actresses, with films like Kahaani, Cocktail and Barfi! fetching major praise for the female leads. The good news is, 2013 is looking equally amazing with some fab films in the pipeline. Read on to see which of our leading ladies will be the busiest in 2013, and which films you should keep an eye out for!
Deepika Padukone
Deepika has a stellar year coming up for her, starting off with Race 2, which she almost didn’t do! Then there’s the release of her Tamil film Kochadaiyaan with Rajnikanth, and the much-awaited Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani with Ranbir Kapoor. She rounds it off with Chennai Express and Ram Leela.
Priyanka Chopra
2012 was great for PC, and looks like 2013 will be equally good – she’ll start off with the Zanjeer remake, which she is currently filming for. Then there’s Krrish 3, the sequel of Krrish, which she will be doing with Hrithik Roshan. She also has Gunday and the Mary Kom biopic, and Milan Talkies, though that is as of yet unconfirmed.
Sonam Kapoor
Sonam brings in 2013 with the much-awaited Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, which she is doing with Farhan Akhtar. She also has Raanjhana and the Khubsoorat remake, as well as an announced (and as yet untitled) YRF film.
Katrina Kaif
Katrina will, of course, be seen in Dhoom 3, the next instalment in the Dhoom series. She’ll also start shooting Bang Bang next year.
Kareena Kapoor
Kareena has the political thriller Satyagraha with an ensemble cast, and Punit Malhotra‘s untitled next with Imran Khan.
Anushka Sharma
Anushka will first be seen in Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, which she is already promoting hardcore. She’ll also begin working on Bombay Velvet and Peekay.
Vidya Balan
So far, Vidya is working on Ghanchakkar with Emraan Hashmi, and will also be seen in the sequel of Pyar Ke Side Effects – Shaadi Ke Side Effects with Farhan Akhtar.
Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi has Lootera and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2 slated for release, and will also be working on Bullet Raja, the Thuppaki remake, and her film with Shahid Kapoor, tentatively titled Rambo Rajkumar (previously referred to as ‘Namak‘).
