While we were busy at Lakmé Fashion Week, probably the best show ever was taking place in Paris by Louis Vuitton at the Paris Fashion Week. Creative Director Marc Jacobs had his models disembark from a train in old-world charm style, reminiscent of the romantic days of the Orient Express.
Watching the show on YouTube sent shivers up my spine and I half expected Agatha Christies’s Hercule Poirot to emerge from the train along with stars from Murder On The Orient Express, like Ingrid Bergman and Marissa Berenson.
One by one, the models stepped off the train (in drop-dead-gorgeous hats, clothes and shoes) and were greeted by uniformed porters who carried their LV bags and trunks!
Oh, and if you really must know, the train was especially made for this show by Louis Vuitton! So now you know why you shell out big bucks for their products. Here’s the video of the show….
