Ok, I’ll be honest. I’m not a big Bollywood fan but when you see Shah Rukh Khan less than 2 feet away from you, ya – I’m pretty sure even you would get light headed. Can’t. Breathe. No. Words. I got a ticket to the Zee Cine Awards 2012 in Macau, and here’s the MissMalini true story behind the red carpet!
Firstly, OMG! Everyone has to walk down that red carpet and trust me, it’s pretty intimidating. Thousands of eyes watching you, waiting for you to trip. Not so much fun. Once we got into the V.I.P. waiting area, things were pretty chilled out; the stars were hobnobbing with each other & the air kisses were a million to the dozen. I thought, perfect opportunity – now I can get my candid & exclusive MissMalini pictures. Apparently not. Ya, truth is when the camera’s go off, the stars’ friendliness seems to get switched “off” too. And unfortunately for me, I got to experience it first-hand – the “I’m a star” bullsh!t attitude – that too from someone who is an actor/director/producer, is super cool & has an insane sense of humour. (And apparently, a bucket load of arrogance to go with it.)
After asking him & his friend to smile to for the camera, he very snobbishly turned to his friend and said, “Uff. We’re going to be on Google tomorrow”. Like, really? Anyways, as you can imagine, I was superbly turned off by the attitude and decided I didn’t want to put myself in that position again. So here are some pictures from the venue instead.
And stars will be stars. So, after a 2 hour delay, the show finally began & here are some EXCLUSIVE first-look’s at what went down in Macau (over a 4 hour period).
Best moments at the show:
Hosting by Shah Rukh Khan & Priyanka Chopra. Why I loved it? They introduced all the nominations for Best Film with a spoofy re-enactment of a particular scene/song from the movie.
Co-host Farhan Akhtar also had a very attractive counterpart, Ms. Bagwati…
Katrina Kaif had all the men drooling for more with her stellar performance on Chikni Chameli (video coming soon).
Shahid Kapoor’s opening performance was brilliant, to say the least.
And last but not least, the droolicious Ranbir Kapoor in his debut live-performance, was breathtaking, to say the least (video coming soon).
This is one show you definitely don’t want to miss. Watch the Zee Cine Awards 2012 on the 5th of Feb, at 7:30 p.m. only on Zee T.V.
