Raj and Pablo, two British blokes of Indian descent, have just launched an interesting line of Bollywood inspired T-shirts under the label, Bollywood Jollygood.
The friendly duo consider themselves “Lifelong Bollywood fans,” and even have an events company in London which specializes in Bollywood club nights! In fact, if you live in England, you will recognize these boys as the voice of Bollywood on the BBC Asian Network, presenting their popular Love Bollywood show every weekend. And if that’s not enough, they also have a monthly show called Bollywood Showdown on the B4U network which broadcasts to film fans around the world.
These enterprising guys are now celebrating their love of Bollywood by launching their own T-shirt range inspired by the vibrancy of retro Indian film iconography. They’ve linked up with a Hox, another British-Indian fashion designer, to create their first range of urban wear which pays homage to Hindi movies. All Bollywood Jollygood designs are prints of original artworks which were originally hand-painted by some of the last few remaining poster painters of Mumbai.
Among those who stopped by to check out the designs was Bollywood star Deepika Padukone and rap singer Hard Kaur. In fact, Hard Kaur even brought along her mother who was visiting from England where she lives. Sweet 🙂
Joking about her mother, the rapper said, “She’s the real Hard Kaur! I’m only a franchise!”
Bollywood Jollygood have been kind enough to give away a few T-shirts to our readers. Check out our contest section on how to win them.
