It was not a celebrity-studded affair and neither was it publicized like crazy. In fact, comedian Vir Das (who was supposed to make it to the event) called in sick due to a bout of flu. Yet, singer Siddharth Coutto’s solo album launch at Blue Frog in Mumbai, had the house packed with his friends, fans and even girlfriend Natasha Takia.
Readers familiar with the Indian Rock scene will know Sidd as the drummer from the band Zero and also as a singer from Tough On Tobacco. Ironically, he smokes!
The album is called Sunny Side Up and consists of a collection of feel-good pop songs with names like “Free” and “Joyful“. With names like that, you’re guaranteed some pleasant listening.
Siddharth has decided to keep two hundred downloads of the album free. So if you’re a fan of his music – or just want to listen to something brand new – log on to www.siddcoutto.bandcamp.com
