I have to say, I had quite a fantastic first day in Berlin. Basically before Bread and Butter kicks off tonight (with Mos Def, woohoo!) I got a chance to explore the city. After a minor heart attack just looking at the city map (you know the really complicated kind?) Priya’s friend Isabel came to the rescue and gave me the easiest directions (to take the tube) ever! You make not understand this but for the directionally challenged like myself this is HUGE. Anyhow take a look at what I spent my day doing – more pix here (new additions to the wardrobe shall make their way on the blog shortly!) Loved all the vintage stores and the fact that Berlin’s fashion is loose, simple but oh-so-stylish, lots of very interesting drapes and vintage stores that I loved…
Shopping-wise: aside from three new dressed, a sling bag and gorgeous black high heels I found both the awesome M·A·C lipstick shades I was looking for, try em! (They come under the “Amplified” range.) Yaay for an #awesome shopping day and big fat hug to Isabel Kücke for being the best shopping guide ever. Can’t wait for you to come back to Bombay so I can return the favor.
P.S. Tonight it’s off to meet, greet and party with the Qvendo crew, super excited, let the fun times begin! xoxo
P.S. Vienna (from what I could tell in my two-hour transit) is quite charming, aside from trading in our super girls for boy scouts I can tell you that the airport boutiques are designed to look like a series of street shops (which is what I’m told Bread and Butter is going to be like so now I’m really excited!) Oh! And the airport has this funky monitor thingy that picks up passengers as they walk by and puts them in an Avatar-esque virtual world where any movement makes waves, totlally #geekchic!
